Cara has been an artist for as long as she can remember, from her kindergarten drawings of countless horses to earning her BFA degree with a concentration in Drawing and Painting, and a minor in Art History. After college, her artistic pursuits led her to Manhattan where she continued to study art through various media and grow through life adventures. Ten years later she returned to her home town of Charlottesville, VA and began her study and love of glass art. As co-owners, she and her mother, Maria, opened The Glass Palette ~ Interactive Glass Art Studio in 2004. The "Palette" is an open studio where customers of all ages can walk in any time and play with glass while creating their own fused masterpieces. Cara also teaches a variety of classes in a wide range of techniques at her own studio and as a visiting artist through the Artisan's center of VA and other studios. She enjoys taking master classes from veteran glass artists and always strives to continue growing her own artistic repertoire and sharing her knowledge with others.
